Terrorist set fire to church and scoped royal barracks

A terrorist who set fire to a church and an ice rink in Slough had bomb making manuals and went on a reconnaissance mission to a Royal army barracks, a court heard. Ilyas Akhtar, 20, accessed an Al Qaeda training manual, purchased knives and razor blades and researched weapons, poison, and improvised explosives.
